The taste of houses

LT Immobili & Design

The cover photo of this article is a bit of a provocation because it features a single light bulb in the midst of the white space of a room. It appears unfinished, a home not fully furnished, a dwelling in construction...

No, it is a lived-in, furnished home but one in constant evolution...

Because homes live and evolve with us, reflecting our ideas, needs, desires, and moods.

Homes absorb and release energy. I wanted to start this article with the photo of a light bulb because too often I hear people say, 'I need to rush to furnish my home, I'll go to Ikea and buy everything there, spend less, and not think about it anymore.' Without diminishing the value of Ikea, be careful—it's not necessary to buy everything at once. Over time, as you live in the house, you may regret it because you will look at it with a different eye, with more attention, and realize that you could have waited and chosen more consciously.

Homes should be furnished gradually, one piece at a time, enjoyed, and carefully considered. Each piece should be desired, studied, and adapted.

Match colors, study the textures of sofas, beds, bring together curtains, cushions, rugs. Understand where and how you would like to illuminate a room. Don't rush, but think. Experiment, study, don't improvise.

Each object has its place, and I am sure that each piece will fit perfectly into your color palette.

A game of tastes and imagination that will make your home unique.
