Electric Vehicle Charging Station Bonus 2025: Operational Guide
From **April 29 to May 27, 2025**, applications can be submitted via the official **Invitalia** platform for financial incentives aimed at purchasing and installing residential electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Incentive Economic Framework
The state incentive covers up to **80% of the incurred costs**, within the following limits:
- **€1,500** for installations carried out by individuals on properties intended exclusively for private use;
- Up to **€8,000** for installations carried out in **common areas of condominium buildings**.
Beneficiaries of the Incentive
Eligible beneficiaries include:
- Individuals with official **residence in Italy**;
- **Condominiums**, through the building administrator or a delegated condominium resident.
This initiative, established under **DPCM August 4, 2022, Art. 1, paragraph 2**, aligns with national policies supporting ecological transition and **low-emission mobility**, consistent with environmental impact reduction targets. In 2024, the measure attracted over 5,000 applications, quickly exhausting the initial €20 million budget, a success the Government aims to replicate and expand in 2025.
Special attention is directed toward multi-unit residential buildings: the subsidy encourages the adoption of **condominium charging infrastructure**, facilitating electric mobility access for residents in multi-family buildings. The incentive covers both **purchase and installation** phases of charging stations or wall boxes, promoting cutting-edge residential technological solutions.
Procedure for Accessing the Benefit
Applications must be submitted **exclusively online** through the Invitalia portal. Authentication is required using one of the following credentials:
- SPID (Public Digital Identity System);
- CIE (Electronic Identity Card);
- CNS (National Services Card).
This procedure ensures high standards of **digital security** and administrative traceability.
Eligible and Non-Eligible Expenses
Not all expenses are covered by the incentive. Costs **not directly related** to the charging station installation are excluded, such as:
- Extraordinary building works;
- Structural enhancements to the condominium or private electrical system.
Additionally, for the **payment of the incentive**, it is essential that:
- Expenses are documented in compliance with ministerial provisions;
- Payments are made **exclusively through traceable and electronic methods**.
These criteria are established by the **Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT)** and are prerequisites for the effective disbursement of the benefit.
